Jeff served as Executive Director at Crossroads House in Batavia, NY, a comfort care home for the terminally ill, from 2014-2021. Prior to that role, he worked for the New York State Department of Corrections for 25 years as a Corrections Officer, the Employee Assistance Program Coordinator, and the Critical Incident Stress Program Administrator. Jeff went on to become a statewide trainer for new peer debriefers who provide post incident stress debriefings to staff involved in major incidents.
Jeff has served all over the world as a Family Assistance Specialist with Kenyon International Disaster Management, an organization that serves family members of victims of large scale disasters such as 9/11, airline crashes in Charlotte and Athens, Greece, and a Southeast Asian tsunami in Thailand.
Along with his wife, Darla, Jeff packs groceries for weekly distribution for those less fortunate through Care A Van Ministries. He served as Speaker Chair for the Genesee Area Men’s Prayer Breakfast, bringing in nationally recognized men of faith to share their stories with the community. In 2019, Jeff was honored by the Genesee County Chamber of Commerce as the Geneseean of the Year.
